AMANDA D. COCHRAN graduated from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky, where she earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice in 1995. At Murray State, she was a member of Lambda Alpha Epsilon (the national American Criminal Justice Association), where she served as President from 1994 to 1995 and received the Outstanding Student Award in 1995. After working as a paralegal for a Memphis, Tennessee law firm, she earned her J.D. from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 2003. While in law school, she was awarded the Lawyering Skills Advocacy Honors Award and was a member of the Southern Illinois University Law Journal. Cochran was admitted into practice in Missouri in 2003. She is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. She is a member of the American Bar Association and The Missouri Bar. She is also the author of Chapter 6: “Rights of Parties in Possession” for the Missouri Bar CLE publication on Farm Law. Cochran practices primarily in personal injury, estate planning, medical malpractice defense, workers’ compensation and general tort defense. She is a member of the Sikeston Altrusa Club and is a Girl Scout leader.
